I was told to use Hydrogen Peroxide on my eyebrow piercing. This was my 1st and it was a very reputable tattoo shop that I went to to get it done. I mean , this artist does some of the most amazing work in Aberdeen. I now have fair(but definatley not the worst) scarring from that piercing.
Moral of the story : Reputable tattoo artist does not necessarily mean reputable piercer =D |

I went to the pharmacy to get something to help with the swelling of my orbitals (ibuprofen wasn't helping) and the guy told me to use this 'Surgical Spirit' on it. He reckoned the piercer only told me to use sea salt soaks because they weren't qualified enough to tell me to use the horrible shit he was trying to sell me.

I wonder if the people giving out bad advice just don't know any better, or haven't bothered to update their methodologies in the past 10 years.

turns out it was the same shop that stretched my lobes from 18g to 6g. They have a very bad reputation around here... |

hmmm....some things i've heard, not necessarily directed at me.
-piercing guns aren't bad. (face palm) -twisting jewelry helps it heal faster and your skin won't adhere to it. -keeping your tattoo covered throughout the healing process helps it heal faster. -it's okay to change your jewelry before it's healed. -it's okay to skip a couple sizes when stretching. Common sense...some people just lack it. I've seen some kids in my area walk around with tapers in their ears, I've heard of people around here stretching with pens and other objects. People are so damn impatient and uneducated. |

hahahaha.. i was told that too... ya know.. so the jewelry won't heal to the skin... lol.. i also was told and believed for a while that tapers were the only respectable way to stretch.. and that it didn't really matter how far you stretched as long as you used a taper to gradually open it up..(ugh gunna blame that on being young and stupid..) |
