I didnt know where to put this topic, so I thought this would be the safest place :)
I have two dots on my inside forearm, spaced maybe an inch. I got them while working where I am currently at, working on fryers, they popped out at me and burned me. well now I have these marks, and I love them. I have tons of burn marks from fryers and grill, but for some reason I love the little dots. I would take a picture of it, but it doesnt show up :( too light. I consider it body modification as if I had gone out and pay for it, and I love it just as much.
do any of you have any scars or, well anything that just kind of happened that you like just as much as if you would have paid for it?

i don't have any accidental marking i feel i would've payed for. the most noticeable things though are my chicken pox scars. i got chicken pox when i was in fifth grade, a lot older than most kids i knew got it at. i was pretty sick and i got them pretty badly. after they healed i noticed the marks they left. most people i knew who had the scars had the crater-like ones that came up on their face. i got a few of those too, but i got raised spots all over my torso, scalp and flatter ones on my limbs. i was really self conscious about them growing up because of how prominent they were, and i got get teased when we would go on school trips that involved swimming. ten years later i still have them, even though i was told by everyone else they would fade and go away. they look exactly the same as they did then. now i don't mind them at all and sort of like them, i guess. my boy likes them a lot. he thinks they are cute.

the only other thing i can think of is how my nose changed shape as i stretched my septum piercing. i didn't like my nose before, it was flatter and sort of piggy-like, but now it is more "grown up" and i like it a lot more.

EDIT: and it is body modification, just not considered part of the form we celebrate here.

well when you stretch your septum piercing to 9/16"(14.3mm), something is going to happen to the rest of the nose, haha.

I used to have my left wrist pierced on the back side of my hand. I now have 2 dots where it used to be.

I burned myself on an oven on my right wrist, in exactly the same place as the piercing on the left side. I love both scars now because it's like positive and negative.

well I can see that, I have just never seen a stretched septum in person. my ex used to have one but he did it after we broke up, and he moved away, so I have seen pictures, but thats about it. never got to see it first hand. =D

i thought about getting a surface piercing there, or....I forgot what its called....microdermals I think? but it would be the most retarded spot for something like that. haha. but I do think I want to try that, and they would probably reject, but it would be fun to do.

Mine didn't think about rejecting at all, I pierced it myself, with a 1.6mm needle and clamp, and used a PTFE bar for the jewellery. I kept it for 2 months, until I decided to cut the bar down for size. Needless to say, I cut the damned thing too short and couldn't put the jewellery back in.

It was a PERFECT surface piercing. But, alas, I never thought about getting it repierced. I would in the food industry now so it's not really convenient.
