not trying to make anyone's day day worse but... think of it this way
there are people a lot worse off for the holidays. like i got the news
yesterday that my mom killed herself Christmas eve(sometime in the
early am). be thankful for what you have and still have

thank you all... and sadly it is true. i had to post this because it pisses me off how greedy and self centered people on this over commercialized hallmark holiday that they forget about what really means the most. hell next year im going to donate and volunteer and give something to people that don't have it as well off as i do.

I think christmas is just a time where you get depressed and remember all the crap things in your life, no money, crap family, crap job. The only good thing is you get time off work, but then you cant do much cos everything is closed, even the sales are crap.

We were drinking at my house and more people than I expected came over and there was a shortage of beer. My friends and I went around to 5 different places; 3 of which were closed, 1 had pretty much been cleaned out, and the other one wouldn't sell to me without my friend's ID too. So I said, ok can I just get a pack of cigarettes? The man refused to sell me cigarettes! I'm 21! It worked out in the end, though, because while we were out, someone else went over to my house and brought a fair amount of beer so an awesome, if somewhat inebriated, christmas was had by everyone.
