I'm considering getting it done soon. It's good looking, stays hidden, fairly uncommon, and I want a new piercing already!

I just need to know if it causes a lot of trouble when it comes to speaking. I have a public speaking class in school and I don't want to risk losing points on an assignment for not being able to speak well.

I've had mine done for around 7 years now and it's fine. I got it pierced with a bcr for swelling then got it changed to a regular barbell later on, I dribbled a fair bit at first but never had anything problems. Some reject but I think that depends on each individual.

mine isn't noticeable either, even with a split tongue (not that you're an exception to that either, xsummerx, haha). healing was easy, piercing was easy, speaking was not an issue at all. it is much different than a tongue piercing in many ways.
i think i figured out the ultimate reason why i modify: i just like touching myself.

When i had mine done i was able to speak like i always did, the only thing that bothered me was when i tried to have a Circular barbell (i couldn't speak properly); with a curved barbell or a straigh one it'll be a lot easier and more comfortable.

I had a bit of difficulty saying a few words when I did mine due to it swelling (but I tend to swell a lot anyway) but it went away in a couple of days.

You'll have to make sure you have the right sort of webbing for it as a lot do reject, mines awesome though... it's at 4mm right now :D Need to find a 5mm barbell in a 6mm length without huge balls on the ends... task!

I may have to switch to a tunnel or plug.. :/

No one noticed mine, which resulted in me walking around with my toungue pointed up mumbling "ook, i finawy got it"

I loved mine, easy healing, painless piercing.
Unfortunately, it didn't last too long because of how small my web is but I would definately recommend it to anyone.
