i remember when i was younger, i always wanted to remove my fingerprints
so just to see if it was even possible, i made a small cut on my right index finger
and i used to reopen it all the time
in conclusion, i have a thin scar on my finger

I remember watching a CSI episode where a serial killer cut his fingerprints off of his finger, and like rearranged them, so they were jumbled up and stuff.

Does that make sense?
Like, he cut off the fingerprint, cut it up into pieces, and rearranged them sort of like puzzle pieces. o_O;

It was weird.

I don't know how successful one would be in real life though, if attempting to use that method.

It was a good episode. But they worked it out in the end anyway, a better strategy would have been to cut off bits of other people's fingertips instead of just his own.

I've got problems of my own, but not the kind that can be solved with an atom bomb.

you should probably just cut off your fingers, but then there's still the whole palm print thing.
might as well remove your hands completely.

  i do know from being a weld for 30 years you can change your finger prints from handing hot metal. a friend of mine that i worked with did burn his finger prints off from handing hot metal over a period of time.

this is not a "removing fingerprints" thing, but when i was young i was super paranoid (lots and lots of drugs) so i would regularly score my fingertips with razors and sandpaper, then i would cover the wounds with superglue that i would score and cut up after it dried... it works pretty damn well at hiding and distorting the ridges of the finger print..

of all the times i was arrested and booked, never once could they get a printable sample from my fingerprints... so, technically, i've never had my fingerprints "in the system"...

however, when i got my concealed carry weapons license (abuot a year ago) i had to get printed and now i do have prints "in the system:... so, yea... anyway...

i figure having the legal ability to carry a personal protection firearm was worth the hassle of finger prints...

Don't know if this is possible but if you were to scar them or brand or anything for that matter it becomes it's own fingerprint and is more recognizable.
