When I was with my ex he was going throw his apprenticeship I was his guinea pig. Yeah it sucked that he wasn't great @ it yet. I trusted him and loved him so I didn't mind. He is now one of my favorite piercer he's been doing it roughly 5 years. I got spoiled on how quick he was and how comfortable I was having my partner pierce me its hard to find another one.    I let my girlfriend do a scrotal piercing to me the other day. She has watched me do my own piercings and wanted to try it. I got everything sterilized and walked her thru this and she then was ready.
  I was a little nervous at first but after carefull instrutions she went ahead and lined up the holes and pierced me, the piecing is straight and it didn't hurt at all lol I think that I'm just getting addicted to the piercing thing.

I definitely would not let my partner pierce me unless he was a professional piercer. If he didn't know a darn thing, and was more or less learning how to pierce on me...no way.

And if he effed it up, yeah, I would be mad. Currently, there's only one piercer that I go to, and he's been piercing at a professional studio for 30+ years.

I did my boyfriend's first piercing, his lobe. After that I really wanted one myself so I redid my smiley, and he helped me push the needle through the tough stuff on the other side. That was a nice experience and both the piercings have turned out well. If its a bonding thing, why not use 20g and up play piercing hypodermic needles. Dont hurt, temporary, and one of the best bonding expierences of your life.

i pierced my girls nipple once, worked fine and was better than the one she had on the other side from a "profesional" i did my own at school so felt happy to oblige when she asked, she had a go at my conch which was a disaster bless her but she tried, lol she stabbed my head on exit and then after the fuss she drew the needle out before following with the jewelery so i didnt even get chance tyo salvage the piercing.

I let my boyfriend pierce my lip ..
After only 3-ish months together.

He had proper sterilized needle etc,
But put the bar in boiling water, no gloves.
Healed up pretty good though, no drama.

And I'd let him do it again.

He wants to be a tattooist when he's older, but he's not a piercing fan. He has such a sure and steady hand from drawing and practising keeping it still, I'd trust him with the trickiest parts if he were to have the proper equipment; he's more obsessive about that than me :)
 
I pitched the idea to him once, not long ago, and he shrugged and said, 'If I know how, sure. But what if I do it wrong?'
Then I thought about it, and I figured, if it goes wrong, it only leaves a scar, and that reminds me of our experience :)

I'd want to start with play piercings first, though.

I think that I'd stick with a professional for cartilage piercing. I'd have no worries letting my girlfriend pierce me. If she had a tiny bit of experience, that would be nice. If she'd never done it before, I'd probably say no, unless we had really talked it over, and felt confident -both of us..

However, I doubt that she'd do it though since my girlfriend and I just broke up Big%20Grin

Apart from that. I have a friend who's learning how to pierce professionally, and I let her do her first two piercings on me (with a pro piercer supervising the whole deal. I like getting pierced, and I don't mind being a canvas for practise, as long as it is sterila and safe. Actually I kept one of the piercings, wich tourned out great. The other one I took out, but that's only because it was a navel piercing, and I don't really like them on men. I was doneperfectly though.

But I'm pretty much up for everything, as long as the conditions are right. I mean sterile and safe...

My ex pierced my eyebrow and did some ear work on me. I never pierced him though.

My current partner is not a fan of piercings at all so I will never pierce him but he has offered to do my inner labia when I want them done again. My main concern is the disposal of the sharps when it's done as we can buy in everything sterile. What I would really like is if we could find a piercing studio where the piercer will do the first one and let him do the second.

My boyfriend and I have always paid others for our holes, but reading over everyone's posts, I wonder if we should try some on our own. There are some places that I think would be o.k. for someone without too much experience to start off on on me, although there are a couple of things I'd like to receive that need more experience. I question his judgement a little, he can get attached to a mod and the memory that goes with it and not be willing to see any negatives. Like, if something needs to be retired, I'm afraid he might take it as an emotional rejection, not just an objective fact (this already happened with one of my piercings). The whole idea of giving & receiving piercings definitely has an erotic charge for me, but he can get a bit squeamish sometimes and has already nixed the idea of anything below the belt for himself, though I am intrigued by male piercings. I will have to broach the topic to see whether he would feel comfortable trying anything out. Last year, I did a vertical hood on my girlfriend (ex-girlfriend, now). She refused to pierce me.

About the same with my Teddy, tho, he's helped me put jewelry back in, but he's a sly guy because when we first started dating (after i'd known him for about a year) he didn't like my nipple piercings and so he unscrewed the ball off the bar and 'lost' it, and took the bar out and I didn't really notice. When I finally noticed I ended up taking the other one out and scolding him and he was like, " I didn't really like those anyway"
*sigh* lol oh well it sucked when it was cold outside :P I also recently found out he doesn't like labret studs when I had brought up wanting to get mine done again lol... so... I guess if I wanted him to do one, he would, I'd have to tell him how to do it, but in the end, his hands shake so bad I am sure he'd miss the mark, but, if it weren't too bad looking I would probably keep it as a reminder and possibly tease him for months afterward. :D
Anyways, I wouldn't get mad- unless the mess up was deliberately against what I told him to do...
 
And I've asked to pierce him, but usually teasing, and he sometimes says, OK and sometimes not, depending on mood... so... *shrugs*

My boyfriend despises piercings quite fiercly; I have asked him a couple of times if I can pierce a single lobe for him and not bother with jewellery, just so he know's how it feels. But no. lol, I wouldn't force him. As for him piercing me, I would never, not in a million years trust him. He's never had a piercing nor seen one done. Well, my husband called me at work one day and said "Guess what I did".
He had given himself a prince albert peircing. Then he said "and guess what else, you are next!" So anyways, long story short, i let him peirce my clit when i got home. He is a tattoo artist and peircer so i trusted him to do it. It hurt like hell!!!! I only had the damn thing like 6 weeks and it came out one day without me realizing it. The hole grew up and i havent had the nerve to redo it. haha

the love of my life has been at my side when i have gotten most of my piercings. he is the one i run to when i need jewelry fixed. he has had to basically repierce my nipple when we discovered the bar was missing and the hole was almost closed. he does a jewelry count on my piercings more so than i do and is my lookout as far as migration or other piercing issues. i trust him utterly and completely when it comes to my body, mind and soul, and that includes future play piercings we shall do on each other. I'd love to have Matt pierce me and I've tried getting him to a few times, but he says he's afraid of hurting me.  I had to practically beg him to help me get my cbr open the last time I got my eyebrow done and was having a hard time doing it myself. No, I wouldn't be mad if he messed it up, it would be my fault for wanting him to do it when he has no experience.  He says he wants me to pierce his lobe, but I don't kno when or if he'll actually want to go through with it.
In the past I did a bunch of ear piercings on my exboyfriend, but for some reason I never had him pierce me.

My lover (husband :P ) has pierced me, and I've pierced him. He pierced my horizonal eyebrow, and it turned out fucking perfect. He also pierced my nose, but he missed his mark, missed the tube, and it was a bit painful. I had to take that one out. He felt really bad about it, but I was like, "Eh. Fuck it. It's alright."
 
We weren't just like sitting around with safety pins, going, "Hey! Can I poke yah?" We had a professional with us. All of the tools were properly cleaned/sterilized.
 
As long as you use the right tools, why not let him poke you? I can't imagine why you'd get upset at him if he were to mess up. He is human, right? If you think that he'd mess up, maybe you can try doing it yourself.

i'm no professional piercer, nor is my lover, but piercing (with the right tools of course) is just good fun, even if it isn't something done for the purpose of jewellery wear. i can't explain why, but when my lover and i pierced each other for the first time, it was an amazing bonding experience. it is also something i don't take for granted, being in a town where i am unable to discuss or share my love and interest for body modification, let alone have that ability with a lover.

i've pierced my lover and he has pierced me. i've been the only other person to ever pierce my lover and he has been the only lover to pierce me, although i have had other professionals do some work on me (he's done the rest of the work i haven't done, nobody else has touched him but me). i have no problem having him pierce me but i probably will keep it at that. i like doing what i can myself. if he messes up, i have him redo it, but he's done a good job so far. i'm not going to get all huffy about it.

He had TOLD me he USED to do piercings and all that!!
(So i TRUSTED HIM!!)

I EVEN BOUGHT him a "guide to piercings" book with ALL the info you would EVER NEED to know AND SOME!!

When it came to piercing time.....

My sister was with me and we were set to go!!

He went in for the prick.... Then looked right into my eyes and said......

"It wont go in!!"

Then i said "JUST Censored do it!!

So rather than KEEP ON PUSHING!!
He then PULLS it OUT!! Eye-Popping
And does it again!!

Leaving me with TWO holes on one said and ONE where it came through!!!
